Prepare to Submit Your Site

  1. Write a 25 word or less description of your entire web site and be sure to include three or four key terms that you hope to be found under.

Good Example: Purchase cowboy hats, baseball caps, straw hats, and other hat wear plus try our custom hat making kit.

Bad Example: Worlds largest online hat store with the best selection and the best prices.

  2. Write down about 20 keywords that best describe your site (make sure all the keywords are in the text on your home page.) We then, put all that information into the meta tags. Major search engines rely on the information in your meta tags to determine your ranking.
